The SQN Way of Educating.

"We elevate young stylists to encompass all the skills needed to be a creative, forward thinking and technically proficient hairdresser.  Our stylists will learn to bring out the best in each individual guests' personal style, and be able to successfully work with all hair types, textures and shapes.

Our program consists of 3 sections:

In this section you will learn the fundamentals of blow drying, styling and setting hair. You will focus on proper use of blow dryers, curling irons, different types of brush technique and product usage. This section will enable you to better assist the stylists on the floor and to beautifully finish and control your work.

Our cutting program is based on strong technical foundations.  The curriculum begins with shear usage, posture, and understanding shapes such as, how to master one lengths, layers and graduation. Once you understand these techniques you can begin to focus on creativity, developing your eye and combining shapes to create unique looks. We will train you to give wearable, interesting, and flattering looks to every guest. We will also place an emphasis on proper use of weight removal and advanced techniques such as disconnection and inverted shapes, and the importance of finishing.

Our coloring program begins in the 6th month of your cutting program. You will learn to understand the color wheel and color theory. You will learn the science behind making the right color choices and how hair color complements and works with your guests skin tone. From there we will focus on single process and creative colors to highlighting and hair painting.
